Welcome to the Village of Worden website. I am happy you are checking out some of the great things we are doing. I moved to Worden in 1996. I married my wife Jill in 1997 and we have two great children Emily and Joseph. I have been proud to serve Worden since 2001 when I was elected as a Trustee. In 2005 the Village of Worden residents gave me the great opportunity to be the new Village President. In 2009 I was elected to a second term as Village President. There are many things the Village has accomplished. I look forward to being a part of the future of Worden.

Thad Duhigg
I have been a professor of sculpture in the Department of Art & Design at SIUE since 2002 when I moved to the region with my family. I became involved in local politics after joining the civilian Worden Parks and Recreation Committee in 2005 where I enjoyed helping to facilitate the redevelopment of the Community Park. I was elected to the Village Board in 2009 and have served on various committees including Parks and Recreation and Public Relations and Grants. Currently I am chair of the Police Committee and the Streets and Alleys Committee.

My husband, Bob, and I moved to Worden 11 years ago after returning to the area from Indiana. This is Bob’s hometown, and he knew we would enjoy the small town, relaxed atmosphere. I hope to be a part of the future progress in the village, making Worden a great place for all residents to call home.
